    A friend of mine was having a new doublet (a sort of vest) made for a Renaissance Faire and he wanted some one-of-a-kind buttons for it.  I found these great vintage cabochons that I made into buttons using button shank backs,  lacy's stiff stuff, seedbeads, and microsuede.  If I can get a good picture of the buttons in action, I'll post it :)
